Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science & Research

Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science & Research (SSCASR) was established in 2004, is a private institution, in karnataka, Bangalore to offer higher academics in the Ayurveda field. The institute was founded by Poojya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar under the auspices of the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) Trust. 

The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The college is accredited with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) and has got “A” grade by the Quality Control of India (QCI). It was identified by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India The institution stands in the 7th position.

It has offered BAMS-UG, and MD/MS (PG) programs in the ayurveda field. The campus spans 10 acres of land. The annual intake for UG is 100 seats and for PG is 57 seats. It has totally 60+ teaching staff and 51 non-teaching staff. The institute's main aim is to provide strong foundational knowledge to the students as well providing practical clinical exposure, and preparing the students to reach their goal in Ayurvedic medicine, surgery, research, and teaching. 

The year passed, the institution has achieved goals in proceeding excellence academics, with frequent 100% results and top rank in university examinations. The campus has boasted facilities in academics and in extra curricular activities. Students can access the central library for studies as it is maintained and is well-equipped, digital learning resources, laboratories, and a herbal garden of 6 acres housing thousands of medicinal plant species. 

The institution has an attached teaching hospital which is fully furnished with hundreds of beds, offering a rich clinical hand-on-experience to the students and serving the community with quality Ayurvedic healthcare. extra -curricular activities such as yoga, meditation, sports, and cultural events are conducted to improve the students' experience and promote holistic wellness. 

SSCASR has been committed to excellence and innovation, and it is identified nationally for its achievements and contributions to Ayurvedic Education. It upholds several awards including ISO certification, and it is the top most ranking among the private Ayurvedic colleges in Karnataka and the south Zone.

• The college has offered UG and PG programs, all are approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, the college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The institute is identified by the NCISM/CCIM, and it stands in 7th place across India and 1st in Bengaluru with a grade of “A”.

• The college is attached to a teaching hospital, it has 268 beds fully furnished providing clinical exposure and practical training to the students.

• Well-equipped labs and library facilities with a digital library with the access of high-speed internet.

• Herbal garden of approx 5000+ medicinal plants of 550+ species that helps the students in learning and studying herbs.

In the present situation ayurvedic colleges are growing but they still face challenges relative to mainstream medical research institutions.
