Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery

The ancient system of health care in India has always been Ayurveda for thousands of years. The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program is of 5.5 years course, which comprises the complete understanding of Ayurveda and its application in managing diseases. The students get nursing education for 4.5 years, with an internship typically lasting one year. Nowadays, the medical field has received much more attention than it did in the past, particularly since the coronavirus emerged. This has led to an increased emphasis on Ayurveda. Thus, this discipline has gained the interest of upcoming students to go for it as their future and get awarded with a title called 'Vaidyar' after their graduation.
