BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences

The Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust founded the BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences (BGSGIMS) in 2013, houses itself at the BGS Health & Education City, Kengeri (Bengaluru). An advanced institution in medical education, BGSGIMS focuses completely on shaping health care professionals who are kind and competent, through intensive academic and hands-on clinical training. BGSGIMS is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognized by national regulatory agencies, thus validating its trustworthiness in provision of medical education.

This institution runs a complete undergraduate MBBS program which encompasses a total time of 4.5 years plus a one year internship. It has a capacity of 150 students yearly enrolled in the course and it offers a course content on pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects as stated by the norms of the National Medical Commission (NMC). BGSGIMS also includes MD and MS multispecialty postgraduate courses (3 years programs) with an annual intake of 78 seats in total, covering both core and clinical departments such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Radiodiagnosis, and others.

BGSGIMS believes in practical mentoring and actual clinical exposure and supports such an approach through state-of-the-art classrooms, skill labs, a teaching hospital, and the latest laboratories for the training of students and patient care.
