Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Center, Bangalore is a premium private medical college established in 2013, this co-education college is located in Yadavanahalli, Bangalore. Eligibility criteria and Admission process:

All the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs that are undertaken by the OMCHRC Bangalore, the selected candidates will be guided based on their merits in the respective entrance exam. The counselling process for the seat allotment will be conducted by the KEA - Karnataka Examination Authority for the MBBS and MD/MS programs. Eligibility criteria

MBBS

• The  aspirants age must be 17 or must have crossed the 17 years before the 31st December.

• The aspirants must have qualified in 10+2 intermediate exams with a percentage of 50% for the general category aspirants in the core subjects : Physics, Chemistry, Biology with an English Language.

• For the reserved category like : SC/ST/OBT aspirants must have scored at least 40% in the above mentioned subjects.

MD/MS

• The age limit for the MD/MS Program is 17 years or must have turned 17 before the 31st December.

• The aspirants must have completed one year rotatory residential internship from a recognised institution 

• The aspirants joining the MD/MS Program must uphold an MBBS Degree with an aggregate of 50%.

Admission Process:

To join the UG and PG Program in the institute, go through the instructions that are mentioned below to join:

MBBS

• The aspirants must get qualified in the NEET UG examinations.

• Once the aspirants are qualified get registered for the counselling process in the official portal KEA.

• During the choice selection select the OMCHRC Bangalore, and MBBS as your first preference.

• On the prescribed date go visit the college and complete the document verification.

MD/MS

• The aspirants must clear the NEET-PG and get qualified in the examination.

Strength

• The college has well qualified experienced faculty and offers good clinical knowledge, with the departments like: medicine, OBG being highlighted.

• The 35 acres of college has an attached teaching hospital with the bed capacity of 650 with 17 operation theatres. The facilities of the college are good lecture halls, a library with digital resources, and a new virtual reality (VR) to provide hands-on experience.

• The college strictly follows the rules of CBME (Competency-Based Medical Education) Curriculum and maintains a 1:140 faculty to student ratio.

• The hospital offers decent, high clinical exposure to the UG Students, according to various reports.

• The campus is described as well maintained and beautiful. It has provided good facilities in the academics and even in the hostels that are kept clean.

Challenges

• Compared to city centre hospitals the college contains less flow of patients.Some of the students have reported that this limitation can not be much helpful for them during the internship.

• Multiple reviews highlight the issues regarding the management, including concerns over staff retention, strict policies, and sometimes rude behaviour.

• While the campus is new, there are reviews that are noted in the maintenance like: fixing leaking ceiling is needed.

• As the college is located far from the city centre so it is taking much more time to reach the hospital for the patients.
