Master of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS)

MD/MS is the postgraduate medical training after MBBS to fully prepare a medical graduate for more advanced clinically-rich, specialty-oriented medical education and training. A doctor would be expected to acquire an awareness of their specialty, improve diagnostic skills and practical experience in medical and surgical fields. MD is termed Doctor of Medicine, which is non-surgical; its very nature relates only with clinical specialties, like General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiology, and so forth. The major focus is: on a clear understanding of diseases; learning what diagnostic methods are core to proving illness in patients; and applying evidence-based approaches in treatments, built with rigorous theoretical learning and clinical rotations.
