About Mahesh

The Mahesh Ayurved College Ashti Beed, was established in 2017 and is a growing private Ayurvedic place in Maharashtra that has slowly started putting its name in Ayurvedic education, clinical health training and day to day community wellness services. Over the years, the college was brought into being under the management of the Shetkari Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, with the goal of spreading age-old Ayurvedic learning along with hands-on healthcare understanding, in the region. Gradually the institution has tried to create a learning environment that backs career oriented Ayurvedic education, also along with building awareness about whole body holistic healthcare practices.

The institution is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, so the academic curriculum plus clinical training keeps in line with the national norms for Ayurvedic education. Mostly the college runs the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course, where the theoretical Ayurvedic principles are paired with supervised practical learning and clinical exposure, in an overall manner.

Placed at Ashti in Beed district, Maharashtra, the campus offers a sort of comparatively calm academic setting, with facilities that keep developing, pretty steadily. Within the institution there are lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, seminar spaces, herbal gardens, hostels and specialized Ayurvedic departments too, all of which back classroom learning while also supporting practical competence building. Along with that, the attached Ayurvedic hospital gives students direct clinical involvement, through supervised patient handling and Panchakarma treatment practices, guided by seasoned faculty members.

The college also encourages a more research driven Ayurveda path, like Panchakarma exposure as well, alongside rural health care awareness activities, plus community outreach programs, maybe more. With experienced faculty backing, better facilities being improved, and a deliberate focus on traditional Ayurvedic principles while still keeping practical healthcare training in the picture, Mahesh Ayurved College keeps contributing toward developing capable but ethical Ayurvedic professionals across Maharashtra.

  • The aspirant should be medically fit according to the NCISM/AYUSH norms.

Admission Process-

  • Candidates who are looking for admission into the BAMS course at Mahesh Ayur College Ashti Bee, should first manage to qualify the NEET UG exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In general, getting admission into the college is mainly about the NEET UG score, plus the Maharashtra AYUSH counselling process which is arranged by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

  • Once a candidate has qualified NEET UG, they have to do an online registration for the Maharashtra AYUSH counselling through the official counselling portal. During this time, applicants must enter their college and course preferences very carefully, so include the option for Mahesh Ayurved College Ashti Beed, for BAMS admission as well.

  • Seat allotment is generally kind of done using the NEET merit rank, reservation rules too, category eligibility, and just the seat availability at that institution. After a seat gets allotted, candidates have to report to the college within the deadline that’s mentioned, for document verification, and any medical formalities if they say it is required, plus the admission fees payment.

  • Usually, applicants are asked to submit key papers like the NEET UG scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, transfer certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate if it applies, passport size photographs, proof of identity, and other documents connected with counselling as the admission authorities instruct.

Documents Required-

5. Strengths/Challenges:

Strengths-

  • The Mahesh Ayur College Ashti Beed has slowly built up a bigger role in Ayurvedic education, practical healthcare training and community wellness services all around Maharashtra.

  • It is linked with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and it is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), this is what keeps academic as well as clinical training in line with national Ayurvedic education rules.

  • Mostly the college runs the BAMS program, and the study pattern tries to blend classical Ayurvedic thinking, along with guided practical work and real patient care exposure in a supervised way, so students get a balanced learning rhythm.

  • On the campus you’ll find lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, seminar spaces, herbal gardens, hostels, and distinct Ayurvedic departments that support both theory understanding and hands-on skill practice.

  • Also, there is a connected 60-bed Ayurvedic teaching hospital that includes Panchakarma units, operation theatre facilities, pathology labs, pharmacy support, diagnostic services, plus emergency care setups. This kind of setup gives students practical clinical experience that actually matters.

  • Beyond routine academics, the institution also promotes research based Ayurveda learning, Panchakarma training, health awareness activities for the community, and healthcare outreach events, so students develop a wider perspective on public healthcare duties.

Challenges-

  • Compared to older, already well-established Ayurvedic colleges across India, this institution still seems to be in that in-between stage, trying to build a stronger long term academic standing and a broader national recognition.

  • Because the college sits in Ashti Beed district, learners might notice less “metro” benefits like bigger healthcare networking chances, more industry exposure, and the usual urban lifestyle facilities.

  • Even if the infrastructure is getting better gradually, a few advanced research chances, bigger academic collaborations, and national level academic visibility still look somewhat constrained when you look at what’s publicly shared.

  • And as Ayurvedic education and healthcare careers keep becoming more competitive across India, students may later have to deal with tougher competition for postgraduate enrollments, clinical pathways, and professional placements right after graduation.

6. Conclusion:

The Mahesh Ayurved College Ashti Beed, is slowly but surely coming up as a kind of promising place for Ayurvedic education and real time healthcare training in Maharashtra. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and it is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, so they basically work under the same nationally accepted Ayurvedic education rules. In the BAMS program, along with the attached teaching hospital and Panchakarma exposure, students get a mix of classroom understanding and supervised practical learning. There are also community healthcare activities, so learning isn't just limited to textbooks. As the infrastructure keeps improving, plus guidance from experienced faculty, and a steady emphasis on traditional Ayurvedic principles with hands-on medical exposure, the institution keeps moving forward in shaping capable, ethical, and community minded Ayurvedic professionals for your BAMS-PG Course.
