The present Karnataka institute of Medical Science was previously known as Karnataka Medical College, Hubli which is also known as KIMS. It is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka. Since its inception, the college has carried and brought out a large history and it has experienced teachers as its faculty, a large number of alumni which has praised the institution.
