About GDCRI
Government Dental College and Research Institute, Bangalore was founded in 1958, by Dr. S.Ramachandra and is managed by the Government of Karnataka. It was higher to offer a high - standard of education in the department of Dentistry. The college GDCRI Bangalore, was announced to be an autonomous institute in 2007 by the Government of Karnataka.
The GDCRI Bangalore, is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS). The campus size of the college is 5 acres of green land. Within this 5 acres of land it has a college and dental building, hostel and cafeteria, area allotted for sports. Approval /identification is done by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and the accreditation is National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
In dental education and research the college has a strong reputation and has got a ranking of 34th in 2025 by the NIRF for all the dental colleges in India. While regarding to courses the college has offered BDS-UG, MDS-PG. The seat intake for the programs are : BDS - 60 seats, MDS - 27 seats.
