KLE Ayurveda Medical College, Belgaum

KLE Ayurveda and Medical College, Belgaum was established in 1933, it was started by the late Shri Basapanna Mallapanna Kankanawadi, and it is managed by the Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society. Shri B.M. kankanawadi offered the students the Ayurveda UG and PG level program.

The KLE University spans 11.5 acres of land, this area is covered with college building, hospital facilities, hostels, herbal gardens, and other infrastructure that are supporting the academics and clinical services. It has given facilities like : seminar hall, hostel facility, classrooms, cafeteria, and so on. 

Vision of KLE University : 

It wants to stand as a center globally for its excellence in Ayurveda education by preserving, propagating, and developing India with the system  of medicine through the quality teaching, training, patient care, and research. 

Mission of KLE Ayurveda Medical College : 

The KEL University works to unlock the hidden potentials of students' minds by providing unconventional techniques blended with relentless efforts and persuasion. The college mainly focuses to transform the world of ayurveda by offering quality of education, selfless service, profitless motto, so that they can fulfill their goals.

The accreditation for college is NAAC and grade is A+ , the accreditation for the teaching hospital is NABH. The approval/recognition for the college is given by NCISM. The college is affiliated to KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER). 

• Accreditation & Reputation : The college is recognised as the top most BAMS College in Karnataka with a grade of “A” and NABH accredited, it is the first ayush institution to achieve this.

• Clinical Exposure : The associated attached ayurvedic hospital has bed capacity of 281, has well - maintained operation theatres, and has specialised OPDs. 

• Legacy & infrastructure : The institute was established in1933, and it is managed by the KLE society, the curriculum has provided a campus and PG Blocks.
