3. Eligibility, Admission Process & Documents Required:


Eligibility Criteria-


  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Must have qualified JEE Main and then JEE Advanced.

  • Should satisfy the minimum percentage or category wise criteria set by JoSAA/IITs for the respective year.

  • Age limit and category relaxations are applicable as per JEE Advanced rules.


Admission Process-


  • First the candidate appears for JEE Main.

  • After qualifying JEE Main, the candidate appears for JEE Advanced.

  • Based on the JEE Advanced rank, students register for JoSAA counselling.

  • During counselling candidates need to choose IIT Bombay and preferred B.Tech branches.

  • Seats are allotted based on rank, category, availability of seats, and choices filled.

  • After seat allotment, candidates must complete online reporting and fee payment.

  • Students have to report to the institute for document verification and admission confirmation.


Documents Required-


  • JEE Advanced Admit Card and Rank Card.

  • Class 10 Mark Sheet and Certificate .

  • Class 12 Mark Sheet and Certificate.

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) (if applicable).

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable).

  • JoSAA Seat Allotment Letter.

  • The government issued Photo ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID).

  • Passport size photographs.

  • Receipt of fee payment.

  • All documents must be original along with a few self attested photocopies for verification.
