Indian Institute of Information Technology Raichur

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Raichur also known as IIIT Raichur and was established in 2019 under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Government of India, it is located in Raichur district of Karnataka and the institute currently operates from its temporary campus while permanent campus is in progress, IIIT Raichur was set up with a clear focus on technical education especially in the field of engineering and at present the institute offers B.Tech programs with Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS), and Mathematics and Computing (M&C) being the core and most prominent discipline, the curriculum followed at IIIT Raichur is aligned with national education standards and focuses on building strong fundamentals in programming, mathematics, data structures, algorithms, and core computer science concepts, the academic structure is designed in a way that balances classroom learning with practical exposure, lab work, and project learning which helps students develop problem solving skills from early semesters.

Even though IIIT Raichur is a young institute, it has been rapidly developing its academic culture and student activities, the campus includes basic academic infrastructure, hostels, library facilities, and student spaces required for academic life, student clubs, coding culture, technical events, and peer learning play an important role at the institute.

While placements at IIIT Raichur are gradually building its placement ecosystem with companies from the IT and software sector showing interest due to the IIIT focused B.Tech curriculum in computer science, as the institute grows and more batches graduate, IIIT Raichur is expected to strengthen its position among the new IIITs in India especially for students aiming for a focused and technology B.Tech education.
