5. Strengths / Challenges
Strengths:
Being the national institute of information technology, the college is of very importance for nurturing future engineers in the field of information technology. Unlike other colleges the Indian Institute of Information Technology precisely focuses on IT branches.
The institution holds a very strong placement record with an average package of approximately 14 to 16 lakhs per annum and the highest packages reaching up to 60 lakhs per annum.
The college has industrial tie-ups with companies like : TCS and other MI/HAN-based companies, which provides early exposure to the students. The hundred-acre campus is larger than most of the other institutions, which allows for the expansion of the institute.
Challenges:
As a newer campus there are constant developments and constructions going on in the campus, which may limit the institution to function to its full potential. Given that the recreational facilities and other landscape things are still under progress. The campus is located near the outskirts of Nagpur, which may require limited transportation and communication to the cities.
The curriculum is very rigorous with frequent evaluations, which can be stressful to the students who are used to a slower pace.
There is a limited branch facility as it is limited only for IT-based tech branches and does not provide for mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering.
