The Indian Institute of Information Technology is one of the twenty IIITs established under the Public-Private Partnership model by the Minister of Education, Government of India. It was founded in the year 2016 and it was declared an Institute of National Importance by the Act of Parliament. B.Tech

Admission Process-

• Appear for JEE Main examination conducted by NTA.

• Register for JoSAA Counselling through the official portal.

• Fill preferred branches.

• Seat allotment is done based on JEE Main rank, category and availability of seats.

• Accept the allotted seat, upload documents online and pay the seat acceptance fee.

• Report to IIIT Pune (online/offline as notified) for final verification and admission confirmation.

M.Tech

Admission Process-

• Appear for GATE examination in relevant paper.

• Register on the CCMT Counselling Portal.

• Fill program choices including IIIT Pune.

• The institution currently operates from a transient campus while the permanent campus is still being built at the Chhakan Site, with a full capacity of a 100-acre campus. Being a space limitation, it could only limit the few abilities of the institution but the academic curriculum is not compromised.

• Like most IIITs, it only offers Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Students looking for traditional branches like : Mechanical or Civil are not interested here as the institution focuses mainly on tech branches.

• Pune being a major metropolitan city, the cost of living outside the hostel can be higher compared to other IIITs located in smaller towns.
