ESIC Medical College and PGIMSR and Model Hospital

Established in 2010, the ESIC Medical College and PGIMSR and Model Hospital, Bangalore was founded by the Employees State Insurance Corporation (Government of India) and managed by the ESIC under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. It is a central  Government Medical College. The college is officially affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and approval is done by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is One Of the Top MBBS Colleges In Karnataka

The campus spread out around 16 acres of green land. The affiliated college has provided good infrastructure including : academic blocks with lecture theatres, medical laboratories, well - stocked central library, hostels for students, sports and recreation areas and so on. The college has a quality based medical education to the graduates. 

The student enrollment of the college is : 900+ . The curriculum has offered affiliated MBBS (UG), and MD/MS (PG) programs for the graduates. The seat intake for the courses are : MBBS - 125 , MD/MS - 70. The associated hospital has bed capacity - 500 and emergency beds - 30.  The admission process for the programs are NEET UG and PG.

• Infrastructure Issues : Facing problems with water supply in hostels.

• Lack of Internet : There is no wifi access in the hostel surrounding, while the hospital has high - speed of internet connectivity. 

• Extracurriculars : Limited opportunities are provided for sports and cultural activities, with minimal to no funds for the college during the events. 

• Hostel Life : The food provided in the hostel is average and not so appetizing.

• Workload : The associated hospital takes high patient load, because of these it can affect the academics, and the final year student needs to do self study.
