Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC) Bangalore, is a private medical college and was established in 1980, by Anand Social and Educational Trust. The institute is affiliated by (RGUHS), it is permitted by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Their aim was to support and develop the underprivileged individuals, making opportunities for the candidates to have a good position in the social hierarchy by providing them a quality of education.

The institute provides high quality medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students within the state level. The institute has offered them a MBBS course with the annual intake of 150 candidates and at present we are taking 74 candidates for various postgraduates for broad speciality courses. All our courses are acknowledged by the National Medical Council.

We take honor in our strong infrastructure, nationally identified teaching faculty, complete students and staff support systems, and a predictive teaching and learning environment that establishes the holistic development of our students.

In the constantly-changing landscape of medical education and healthcare delivery, combined with the advancements in information and communication technology, our intention is to make sure our students become self-confident, competitive and lifelong learners who are prepared for change. The institute has excellent faculty members, with experience in  advanced technology in teaching. The institute presents a state-of-the-art, multispeciality teaching which is equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. 

In addition, we offer a wide range of well-equipped laboratories, smart lecture halls,  and an outstanding library with national and international journals with reference books. We  actively motivate the students to participate in co-curricular and extra curricular activities,allowing the candidates to show up their talents.

• There is a notable difference in quality between boys and girls hostels, some female students are noting that there is a separate washroom and has strict rules compared to boys hotels.

• Some reviews indicate there is a low patient flow in the hospital as compared to the other medical colleges in the area, it may lower the diversity of the cases as students encounter during clinical rotations.

• For some students it is a concern that the surrounded area is a point, and some reviews mention the locality has some potential issues.

•  While largely good, in some reviews occasionally mentioned there is an issue in maintenance such as no proper wifi connection in some areas and a problem during heavy rain.

• Some of the old reviews state that issues in college management regarding fee payments transparency or communication, then to recent reviews are positive about the administration.
