To establish the medical college the cabinet approval was granted in 2020, and the project succeeded from both side ass state and central government schemes. The CIMS was developed to reach the demands of medical professionals and tertiary healthcare services in the region. Specifically CIMS Campus has been recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and provides MBBS programs with intaking 150 seats. From the establishment, the campus strives on offering modern medical training through upgraded laboratories, lecture halls, central library and associated teaching hospital which offers practical clinical exposure to the students. The institution is situated near azad park circle with 58 acres of green lush land in Chikkamagaluru and attached to a teaching hospital that can support the healthcare services in districts.
